The GST Council of India has declared and decided on Thursday, 18th May 2017 the rate of taxes around 80-90% of the goods and services under the structure of four slabs along with complete necessary regular needs. 0% Tax will be applied on Goods-
- Bread, Prasad, butter, curd, honey, flour, legal papers, milk, stamps, newspapers, printed books, handlooms, meat, fish, eggs, salt, Sindoor, Bindi, bangles, etc.
Lodges and hotels with a cost under One thousand and GST grandfathering services have been exempted.
Goods under 5% Tax-
5 percent tax will fascinate items like rusk, paneer, coffee, pizza, coal, vegetable, skimmed milk, fish fillet, tea, cream kerosene, stent, lifeboats, and medicines.

18% Tax services-
Liquor served AC hotels, IT services, and telecom services, financial services, and branded clothes will fall in 18% slab of GST tax.
Bigger tax of 28% on Goods-
The items which will come in slab of 28 percent tax slab are syrups, chocolates, wafers, chewing gum, pan masala, paint, deodorants, hair shampoo, sunscreen, shaving creams, ceramic tiles, water heaters, dye, dishwasher, weighing machines, ATM vending machines, hair clippers, vacuum cleaners, motorcycles, automobiles and wallpapers.
Services under 28 percent-
Race club battling, Cinema, and 5-starer hotels services will put under the tax of 28 percent slab of GST.
So this is the tax slab fixed on various items by the GST Council of India, which will come into effect in some time.
